Michael Frankel from Frankel Lawyers: Entertainment Lawyers in Film, Music, Art, Literature, Theatre, Dance, Computer Games, Branding and the Internet. Frankel Lawyers is a pre-eminent Australian boutique Media, Entertainment and Information Technology Law Firm with over twenty years experience, situated in Surry Hills Sydney.
Michael is currently a member of the Media and Communications Committee, and is a trustee of Australian Society Of Authors Benevolent Fund (since 2005), and has been adviser to various industry bodies including the Australian Screen Director’s Association and the Australian National Theatre Owners Association. Michael was a Director of the Copyright Agency Ltd until 2002, a director of The Griffin Theatre Company, The Australian Documentary Foundation and numerous other boards. In recognition of his contribution to the arts, Michael was honoured in 2003 with Life Membership to the Australian Society of Authors. Michael was the Chairman of the Screenrights / Viscopy Working Party into the Visual Arts in 2001-2002. He has litigated extensively on matters of Film Distribution, Copyright and Intellectual Property in Australia and in Europe.
Cost: Free for Sydney ACM SIGGRAPH members in good financial standing. $5 cover charge for guests and non-members.

Probably best known for the annual SIGGRAPH International conference on computer graphics for film, televisions and new media industries, ACM SIGGRAPH also puts on a variety of programs year-round and worldwide to benefit the SIGGRAPH community.
